Pellet grills, sometimes referred to as pellet smokers, are outdoor cookers that combine elements of charcoal smokers, gas grills, and kitchen ovens. Fueled by wood pellets, they can smoke as well as grill, braise, sear and bake.
Every business has a beginning, and this is where we begin. Our family is rooted in Southeast Missouri with relatives in every county. Family gatherings always consisted of a meal to bring everyone together. The passion was born to prepare the best and to share it.
Smokin Brothers started in the fall of 2005 at the Hermann, MO BBQ and Brats Festival. Ryan and Craig formed the team of Smokin Brothers to compete in the KCBS contest not knowing what we were getting into. On Saturday morning we called Adam in for some help and luckily David showed up in the afternoon. We didn’t get a call but we were hooked just the same. Now several years and several contests later we’ve had a few calls and are taking our enjoyment of BBQ to a whole new level.
Green Mountain Grills
We discovered something we loved–REALLY loved. It was grilling with wood pellets, which were so much better than either charcoal or gas! But the pellet grill we owned needed some improvements, so we decided to make our own. We loved it so much we ended up starting our own company!
